Hi, everyone! Just a quick post to let you know I just uploaded a quick haul video over on my YouTube channel. It's a couple kits I got in the mail last week.
Hi there, Kathryn! Those are very nice kits you've got. I enjoy haul vids 'cause I'm a kit subscriber, too, and always interested in what other scrappers receive from their clubs.
Can hardly wait to see what projects you've got up your sleeve for these!
Hi, Liz! Thanks for stopping by! I was very happy with what I received! :D Exciting! I am on the lookout for a new kit club, actually. Do you have any recommendations?
I have 2 subscriptions - Studio Calico and Cocoa Daisy. I've found their offerings to be right up my alley so, I've stuck with both. I will admit that there has been a time (or two) when I wasn't bowled over by a month's kit, but I would imagine that no club can possibly please its customers 100% of the time. Our hobby is quite subjective and what may be pretty to one may be mediocre to another. Before this I did try a couple of other clubs and cancelled after a few months when I realized that the offerings didn't quite suit my scrapping style.
Some time ago I checked out this site just to get some ideas of what would be the US kit clubs I'd want to try: http://www.scrapbookingtop50.com.au/top50kits/index.php?cat=USA%20Kits Having said that, I did a bit of research despite the rankings as there are a couple of clubs that may have a high ranking but I've read too many negatives about them. Customer service is of paramount importance to me. I like clubs that are run professionally (i.e., prompt and complete shipments) and any queries/concerns/problems are addressed in a timely fashion so, I visited many sites and blogs (like 2 Peas) to read scrappers' feedbacks before I even signed up. Re the value, my scrapping budget is tight so I had to do some arithmetic to determine where I'll get the most bang for my buck as often as possible (MSRPs with reasonable mark-up). So far, SC and CD have fit the bill.
Thanks, Liz! I will check out those two and the link you sent as well. That is a good idea to look online on message boards to see how people feel about their customer service. Poor customer service makes me nuts!
I love the kits and see what you make of it. I have a question. You said in the video that she has a made a video of the haloween mini book. I have looked at the internet but I cannot find it. Where can I see the videos she make? And than I have another question. Who is she??
