ReplyDeleteFav. project - easy - mini album......cards, scrapbook pgs., etc. can usually be done rather quickly and even in one sitting....I prefer something that takes more time and working with one theme, papers, embellies, etc.....thanks for another chance...

I really like doing Layouts for the everyday kind of photos everyone has.
ReplyDeleteFor special occasions like Chirstmas or vacations I do Mini Albums. I have too many pictures and stories to tell for those to be just content with one Layout.
I started to art journal about a year ago and it has influenced my scrapbooking as well. More and more of my layouts use some type of Mixed Media.
So it's a combination of all three.

Graduation disneyland. I can scrap some and have a place for the others

I Love making cards! Each one seems to be a small gift itself and is so appreciated and kept and sometimes framed!! That being said--I have always loved making mini albums/books--especially using themed paper collections--the mixing and matching is challenging and fun!! The sky is the limit as they say!!

I love mini albums, but I like a bit larger ones as my stash of pictures are full view. I incorporate anything that I can onto a page so I teeter on loving 'construction instruction; with mins; whenever it comes my way. I can gain a lot of insight into balance, texture, hue and elements from watching layout videos.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite type of project to make are cards. I love making cards because I enjoy trying different folds. I also love the fact that if I change out an embellishment or die cut or just add some ribbon or twine, I have a different and unique card.
ReplyDeleteThis question got me thinking! In fact it varies from time to time. It used ti be mini-books but I´m enjoying my 12x12 layouts lately! I think its because it can be done in an afternoon. Long projects like mini-albums require ( at least for me) a lot of energy in the enbellishments. I know that´s the fun part of it, but sometimes in the middle of a minibook I feel like I run out of " original ideas". So layouts it is these days!

ReplyDeleteI mostly make cards and enjoy that, but I can get really caught up making mini-books and albums. I've never met a piece of paper I didn't like, so I guess I really just like playing with paper.
ReplyDeleteMini Albums when I have a chunk of time. Cards and layouts when I just have small amounts of time to work. A new grandbaby due this summer, so minis are a good place to keep all those photos that don't get scrapped.
ReplyDeleteHard choice, but mini albums float to the top of the list. I enjoy being able to create each page individually, while having the continuity of size, color, theme, embellishments, etc. I also appreciate the variety of shapes/sizes to which mini lends themselves, which makes them fun and interesting to display in my craft room....little stories of life! ReplyDeleteMy favorite kind of project to make depends on my mood. Sometimes I like a mini-book; sometimes I like a card; sometimes a layout, sometimes a 3-D project -- I like them all! I've not yet been very successful with Project Life type layouts I have to confess, altho two friends I introduced to PL have taken to it like ducks to water!
