On the Ninth Month of Christmas ...

Hi, everyone! Welcome to the ninth of my "12 Months of Christmas" giveaways! There wasn't an eighth month of Christmas giveaway because of all the commitments I had in August, so I will be giving away two prizes this month to make up for that. Because I have had so many unclaimed prizes throughout this giveaway series, the rules on how to enter have changed. Please read this post carefully.

This month I am giving away two sets {one for August & one for September} of the Graphic 45 "Steampunk Debutante" 8"x8" paper pad:

And I am also giving away two sets {one for August & one for September} of the 7 Gypsies "Paddington" stamps which have a steampunk feel:

The first winner drawn will receive one 8"x8" Graphic 45 "Steampunk Debutante" paper pad and one 7 Gypsies "Paddington" stamp set. The second winner drawn will receive the other 8"x8" Graphic 45 "Steampunk Debutante" paper pad and 7 Gypsies "Paddington" stamp set.

To be entered to win, you'll need to show me that you're ready for fall! Create a layout, card or other project inspired by the following color scheme:

This layout features Wild Honey and Rusty Hinge Oranges, Fired Brick and Aged Mahogany Reds, Broken China Blue and Vintage Photo brown. I figured I'd use Distress Ink colors so we could all speak the same language, but you don't have to use Distress Inks on the page. You can use any colors you like that fit within the color scheme.

To participate, create a layout utilizing the orange, red, blue and brown color palette shown in the layout above. Your layout may be any size {12"x12", 8.5"x11", 8"x8", 6"x12", 6"x6", etc.} and can be either a one-page or two-page layout. To be considered "complete" layouts should have photos and journaling {basically be ready to go into an album ~ unless it's for a gift/swap}. This challenge also lends itself to a card or other project.

Enter the challenge by posting a link to your submission BELOW using the InLinkz gadget following my signature. Links left in the comments will not be eligible to win ~ you must use InLinkz to enter. Entries must be posted by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, September 12, 2010. The link can be to a photo of your entry in an online gallery, or to a video on YouTube or to a post on your personal blog ~ wherever!

Also, I was asked in the comments if you can enter more than once. I've decided you can submit up to three different links as long as 1) the projects are substantially different, 2) at least one of them is a layout, complete with photos and journaling AND 3) each project must be linked separately ~ you can't combine them all in one link. Because of how the winners are selected, your name will need to appear on the list once for each project.

Winners will be selected by the random number generator, random.org. Entries will not be judged. Have fun creating with the challenge & I look forward to seeing what you make!

  2. Hmm. Can you enter more than once? Good question! :D I'm going to say that you can submit up to three links as long as 1) the projects are substantially different AND 2) at least one of them is a layout, complete with photos and journaling.

  3. AND each project must be linked separately ~ you can't combine them all in one link. Because of how the winners are selected, your name will need to appear on the list once for each project you complete in order for it to count.

  7. Although Graphic 45 scares the pants off me, you know I can't resist a challenge. Hopefully the end result will turn out better than the Sage Saga of 2010. :)

  8. Hi Kathryn, I unsuccessfully tried to Link my entries (there are 3) the first time. So I tried doing it again and it worked. Please delete the ones that are "sorry page not found". Thanks for the great challenge. Wonderful prizes. First time I've entered anything on line.

  10. Thanks Kathryn, even though i didn't win, i really enjoyed doing a challenge (for the first time). You are so easy to listen to and creative and design almost effortlessly (I know you put a lot of effort into your work)that I felt comfortable posting on line for the first time (on your ning site) I even got some views. If 1 of the winners doesn't respond, I'd like their prize. Thanks again.
