I am super excited today because I am off to the airport with Mr. Lifeguard to pick up Kathy Orta the Paper Phenomenon! Check out the photos and links below, but be sure to come back here and answer the question for today's giveaway!
Steampunk unLimited
Kathy and I are going on a road trip with Mr. Lifeguard and Liz, the Unpaid Intern, to Steampunk unLimited at the Strasburg Rail Road. We're also taking our legal counsel with us in case we need bailing out of jail - you never know what can happen when so much fabulousness is in one place!
Technically this is a business trip because we are going to check out vendors for Steampunk Soiree 2014 and get inspired by all the steampunky goodness for ways to make this already epic event over the top amazing!
Liz will have the camera again, so there may be a road trip video on it's way to my YouTube channel! ;)
Mini Album Share
I created the "Mini Treasures" album from Kathy's book Interactive Mini Albums. It was super quick and easy to put together - only took me one and a half episodes of the show I was watching to finish. I have to admit that it was really relaxing to use someone else's instructions to put a project together and not have to think of everything on my own!
Click HERE for more information on Kathy's book!
I have a quick flip through of the album up over on my YouTube Channel. Watch the video below or click the link to watch over on YouTube (but be sure to come back and enter the giveaway): Mini Treasures Album Share.

ReplyDeleteI would love to learn how to adapt the many, many, mini album patterns that I have into albums using The Cinch or Bind it All. The mini's are great with the hidden hinge bindings but it would be awesome to know how to adapt the same pages and bind it with one of our fabulous machines. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and creativity. Have fun on the road trip!

I'm very new to your ustream and just love all the things I've learned about how to use and what's going to work best in supplies, from glues, dies, paints etc. the list goes on. I'm really enjoying watching the archived ustream videos too.
ReplyDeleteHi - TGIF, have fun this weekend. I'm all about organization and finding ways to house, in a decorative way craft supplies. Making or creatively upcycling common items would be wonderful. ReplyDeleteSounds like you guys are going to have so much fun.
ReplyDeleteThis is a little specialized but I would like to see how you would do a "Beach Wedding" mini album. We see Wedding albums all the time, I would like to see one specialized for beach.
Love your work and love that you, Kathy Orta and Gentleman Jim are now working together.
The only thing i can think of Kathryn is to see your recorded ustreams offered on your blog. I find that sometimes when i go to make one of your projects its gone off of ustream and then i cant remember a thing. All of your streams are so inspirational that i want to do a rewind into the past. I find that i just cant download every ustream just don't have the space. Thank You for all that you do and all your draws this week! Hugs
ReplyDeleteI love seeing your reviews on new products as well as what you are doing or have done on your ustreams classes. Have fun this weekend. If you get into trouble you don't need legal counsel, you need a British police box. LOL.
ReplyDeleteI like the product reviews and comparisons.
ReplyDeleteHave lots of fun this weekend. Maybe I will get to see you guys as I will be there too.
I will also be coming to the Steampunk Soiree 2014.
Thanks for that you guys do for us.
I would like some Steampiump

Have a great time this weekend and we know Mr. Lifeguard will keep you all safe...lol. Looking forward to some videos from your trip!

Have a great time researching this weekend and thank you for all you do.

ReplyDeleteArtsychik Jeanne
quick and easy layouts
ReplyDeleteI love seeing new ideas for mini books and also tips and techniques used while creating them! I sometimes find the inserts and things even work on scrapbook pages. I'm also always fascinated with different ways to create albums out of paper bags. PS Sounds like you're going to have a BLAST with Kathy and her book looks great!
ReplyDeleteYou always seem to pick the right things. I have a very wide variety of interests. Somehow your shows are always just the thing I was looking for. This always happens before I know it.
ReplyDeletemixed media albums please, or just mixed media projects
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy how you show how to use new products, and compare them. I also love to see how your mind works as you do mini's and layouts. TYSM for this opportunity, I would so love to win her book!

ReplyDeleteDebbie
I would love to see how you organize your supplies. I know you repackage things, but how do you store them? Hanging? boxes? bins? drawers?
ReplyDeleteI really love the idea of organization! love posts on studio and supply organization. Also anything on putting crop kits together.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy everything you do Kathryn..you are so talented..Thanks again for the chance to win and sharing all your fabulous projects with us.
ReplyDeleteHave fun on the train! On your blog... I like like your ideas for planning out layouts and mini albums (and I love your class on a theme album); tools, ideas, have you ever done Ali Edwards' "one little word"? What would be your spin on it? She addresses it once a month or more -- how would "our" group do it? Does anyone in our group do it? I do it, but not Ali's way, some of her stuff doesn't work for me. What about soliciting scrapbook "problems" and solving one a month - or more often if you get; make a card with scraps from a layout?
ReplyDeleteI would like to learn ways to re-use/re-purpose things, additional ways to use tools and stuff other then what their main purpose is. (ie, envelope punch board can be used to make file folders and tabs), and ideas on using markers, inks, paints, stamps, stencils/masks, etc.
ReplyDeleteMixed media in minis or layouts. Saw your Aquarium mini and fell in love.
ReplyDeleteLisa T.
I also love everything you craft, but I guess I would like to see more mini albums since I am partial to them.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see more techniques with mixed media in mini albums.
