Update on Alyssa

Before I go to bed, I wanted to let you know the most recent update on Alyssa's condition.

Alyssa is out of surgery and in the ICU. Her right kidney was removed, and all bleeding was stopped. As of now, her pulse, blood pressure and other vital signs have returned to optimal levels. She will remain in the ICU for a few days as there is still risk for infection, but her family sounds very hopeful.

I am very relieved and also very grateful to all of you. Thank you all so much for your love, prayers and support ~ it means so much to me! You guys are the best!

UPDATE: Alyssa is now awake in the ICU and says she feels fine & wants to get up and walk around. It sounds like she is doing well & is on her way to making a full recovery!

    I have been praying and am very relieved to hear the promising update.Does this mean she will be able to keep her leg? I will continue to pray. I have also put in a prayer request at church so you all are being upheld by many many people. i know that when she gets out it will be very tough recuperating with a new little one. If she lives nearby let me know and I will send a card and things to you and you can get them to her.

    Thank you all so very much for your prayers, your warm thoughts and your positive energy! I appreciate you and your support so very much!

    There has been no additional talk of losing the leg and she appears to be well on her way to a full recovery. Doctors say she has to still be monitored, so she will be in the ICU for a few days, but it all looks really good at this point.
