Hi, everyone!
As many of you already know, I have a weekly USTREAM show. My USTREAM shows are every Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and again from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on my USTREAM Channel: Live on the {Scrap}Beach.
All times are Eastern USA {Miami/New York}. To convert to your time zone, click here: Time Zone Converter.
If you've been participating in this show for any length of time, you also know that it is extremely rare that I cancel these weekly shows. So rare, in fact, that my policy is that we are having a show unless I announce otherwise.
Well, just wanted to give you a head's up that there is a very slight possibility that we might have to cancel Thursday's USTREAM shows. Take a look at this:
Above is the current projections for the path of Tropical Storm Irene. Tropical Storm Irene is expected to become a Category One Hurricane & she is expected to make landfall as such about twenty miles south of Miami late Thursday night/early Friday morning. Assuming Irene stays a Tropical Storm or Category One Hurricane, we will likely still have our normal USTREAM shows since evacuation is unnecessary. I mean, I slept through our last Tropical Storm.
On the other hand, Hurricanes have a life of their own. They have been known to ignore weather projection maps & grow stronger than expected, so we'll be keeping an eye on things around here. Right now, there's no cause for alarm & the show is scheduled to air as normal. Keep checking back here for more information & cross your fingers that I don't have to cancel because I'm jumping in the car for my Father In-Law's house!

Oh good lord,Kathryn,
ReplyDeleteStay safe!!!!!!!!!!!! I would rather you were at the in-laws in safety than feeding my need to scrap and chat. I will be thinking of you.
Love Lynn (lovintutorials)
I know, We are watching it too here in NW FL. Hurricanes sure do have a mind of thier own and the path changes so often. So I'm praying that it starts it's curve to the north east and heads out into the Atlantic!!!!

ReplyDeleteHope the storm passes by you. Stay Safe!!!
ReplyDeleteThinking of you all, this looks very much like cyclone yasi that hit us here in north Queensland, Australia in February, it was awful. I hope she changes paths and fizzles out at sea xo
ReplyDeleteOh how exciting! I know, I am crazy! I love storms and even tho I dont want them to cause too much harm I love to watch them and get excited when they are on the way! For your sake, i hope it changes direction so we can have a ustream and you can stay safe.
ReplyDeleteGive Irene a kick in the butt, Kathryn, and push her right back out to sea! Keep safe!
