Sweet Tea: 12"x24" Layout Video, Part One

Hi, everyone! Welcome back to Life on the {Scrap}beach!

So a few posts ago I showed you a slideshow of a new layout I was creating: a completely over the top, sparkly, PINK layout! Now the video is ready to share with all of you! It's in two parts because this was a pretty technique heavy layout, so stay tuned for part two!

Thanks for watching & I hope you enjoyed it!

  2. Wonderful layout and video.
I have that paper and I find most of what I have used has been in pieces.

  3. Hi, Jill!

I love this paper & I saved what was left of the sheet that I cut the butterflies from because I think it will be great to add to cards and mini albums.

Thanks so much for watching and commenting & I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

  5. Good morning, Kathryn...love the video as always! I especially like the technique with the butterflies. Embossing and layering them in that way adds a very interesting dimension. I'll use it on a couple of pages I'm working on for a mini album.

Also, I never thought about using embossing powder and glitter both. I'm doing that too!

Great tips and really look forward to your videos. I learn many good things and am entertained a lot. You know, I'll begin keeping a notebook of the techniques and tips I get from your vids! I don't want to forget. Thanks much and have a great day.

  6. Welcome to our new reader from Germany! I hope you continue to enjoy what you see!

Liz, thanks so much! I was very happy with how the butterflies turned out on this layout! :D The trick to combining embossing powder and glitter is to make sure there is no "cross-contamination" of gitter into embossing powder. It's okay to get embossing powder in the glitter, but not the other way around. I found this out the hard way when I ruined a bottle of clear embossing powder. :(
