Video: Beach Mini Album, Part Three

Hi, everyone! Welcome back to Life on the {Scrap}beach!

I hope no one had to be rushed to the hospital last night for a ruptured spleen caused by too much laughing. Everybody take a deep breath and just relax ~ today's post is not going to be nearly as funny, although I hope it is still entertaining!

I uploaded a new video over on my YouTube Channel. It's the final part of my 5"x5" custom chipboard beach/ocean theme album, so you'll get to see all the pages ~ even the ones you missed because my camera wasn't working.

This little album is decorated with papers and embellishments from the Heidi Grace "Beyond the Sea" line which is actually on sale right now at Two Peas in a Bucket for 50% off!

Thanks for watching & I hope you enjoyed it!

  3. I've to say this is one VERY PRETTY book. My favorites are the pages that flip open with the ribbon tabs. Another great idea!

Just received the extra thick clear overlays from Hambly, Kathryn, and I can't wait to use them. I had to do some errands all day today and I was itching to get scrapping with them. They are fabulously thick, just right for what I had in mind. Thanks so much again for directing me to the source. And I love Hambly, I got a couple of freebies with my small order, too.

Oh...forgot to add - your altered ATG looks very nice!!

Have a fantastic and SAFE wekend!

  4. I liked those ribbon tabs, too, Liz! I think I will be using them more often. The Hambly overlays are awesome, and I'm so glad you like them. Thin enough to cut with ease, but thick enough to lie flat. Perfect!

  5. liz-if you punch holes in the Hambly overlays using your Binderie would you please let me know how it works out...I'm kind of interested in the result before I invest the money.
I too am wanting to do the acrylic/transparincy overlay cover on my scenic route "princess" book and want to know how it works for you. (Can you say scrap-lift??)
    Thx,
    Jill

p.s. Kathryn, since this IS your blog I guess I should say howdy to you as well...lol
p.s.s. I am LOVING having my bestest bud from high school visit with us - he is a true artist and we went to a gem show today and got some wonderful stuff for him to design with - can't wait to see it!

  6. Nah, Jill, don't mind me ~ I just work here! :D

I loved that "princess" book. I made it for a friend's baby's christening, but it was hard to let it go. It was so fun to work with & I loved the unique dimensions, and the windows, etc. I even thought about keeping it and turning it into an "All About Me" sort of deal, but I thought the title was a bit much, even for me!

Sounds like you are having fun, Jill! Awesome!

  9. Hi Jill, I'll be sure to let you all know how the Binderie handles these extra thick overlays. Hey, I like that "what happens...!" Chat with you later...Liz

  10. Jill, I'm glad you liked the shirt! I have a scrapbook-related T-shirt that reads: "You'd better be nice to me or I will crop you out of my scrapbooks." Words to live by.

Hi, Joy! Thank you so much ~ I'm so glad you liked the album! This was my June trade mini album. I haven't started on July yet. :D

Liz, I am interested in how the Hambly goes through the Binderie as well. I assume it will work great since it goes through the Crop-A-Dile like butter!

  11. Like BUTTAH, ladies. Very smooth holes on the thick overlays (and I'm tellin' y'all these are very thick ones though not as thick as acrylic). I'm almost done with this mini and thank goodness for my Binderie or I couldn't have done it. Definitely worth the money for me.

  12. Great mini as always! I love the idea of embossing on the sides like inking the egdes but different! So clever! Love it!

  13. Liz, thanks for coming back and sharing about the Binderie and Hambly thick overlays. I have all kinds of ideas for those babies now!

Thanks so much, Amy! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! That is a fun techniue when you want to give something a glossy edge.
