Final Score is Kathryn: 3, Half Marathon Album: 0

Hi, everyone! Welcome back to Life on the {Scrap}beach! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend!

I would like to report that I have now conquered the Half Marathon Mini Album and it is DONE! WOO-HOO! :D It was touch and go there for a while, but I finally prevailed and managed to finish it without pulling out all my hair. YES!

I'm not going to post pics, because I was too exhausted after I finished it to actually take any. However, I will be featuring the album in a video series, so you will get to see it all in excruciating detail soon! I'm pretty sure it will end up being something like 52 parts since it took forever, but you'll just have to wait and see.

  1. Congrats on getting it done! I can't wait to see it! There has to be such a satisfying moment when you complete something that was a struggle. I am sure it came out great!

  2. Thanks, Karen! I am so glad it's done! Yay!

Amy, yes, it sure feels GREAT! I don't know why this album was so hard for me, but I am glad it is done & that it still turned out nice!

What am I going to do now, though? No, just kidding! I'm working on another album already! :D

  3. I'm having flash backs of the 3 year wedding album, I KNOW the relief of finishing a major project.
Can't wait to see the video/videos. I always pick up wonderful ideas and inspiration.
    Thanks,
    ~Jill

  4. Jill, I'm sorry to have given you flashbacks! My album was not nearly as major of a project as your wedding album, but it still kicked my hiney.

  5. Can anyone tell me what is the difference / benefit of the Binderie over the Bind-it-all? I am thinking of getting one but now I am not sure which to get. Everyone lately has been talking about the binderie but can't you do the same things with the Cropadile big bite? Help!

  6. Amy, you should read the comments on this blog post to learn more about the Binderie and the Bind-It-All. We all posted a lot about the two of them and the differences between them on that day for some reason!

    Hope that helps!

  7. Hey, Kathryn...I knew your scrapping buddies wouldn't fail you (lol).

Just finished the panoramic album. Yipee! I guess that's one of the reasons I like minis. They don't take as long as full-fledged 12x12 albums to finish. 3-yr wedding album -- holy cow, Jill, that's what I call tenacious!

  8. Liza you and anyone else would be smart enough not to think that it was something to take on. Go visit my blog and you will see a "slight" overview. It was UGLY!
    Have a great night all...

  9. Way to go on the panoramic album, Liz! It always feels so nice to complete a project. I started another mini album today and it is just flying by ~ guess there was just something about that half marathon album.

Jill, at least you're done! I think I will be scrapping my wedding until I die, honestly. So far I have made one shutterfly photo book {for his dad}, one full 12"x12" scrapbook {for my mom}, one full 12"x12" scrapbook {for myself, from a Recollections "Scrapbook In A Day" class}, one 4"x6" minibook {for us, video will be up tomorrow}, and have THREE of those big 12"x12" box albums "in progress" for "Preparations/Getting Ready", "Ceremony" and "Reception".

Uh, yeah. Total overkill. This is what happens when the photographer you hire for your wedding has a "no album" policy and instead hands you a DVD of all your photos and a release form {AWESOME, by the way!!!} and you end up with hundreds of professional photos to scrap and they're all good enough to scrap.

  12. Can't wait for the videos!!
Yeah, it probably would have made more since to break up the one album, but then it would have been easier for dd to walk out of the door with a piece of it at a time...lol!
Also, the problem of it wasn't just a wedding it was a 7 day cruise with 18 peeps!!!
(Professional photographer, all of us with cameras plus the ship photographer taking pics all week).
Oh well, as previously stated - IT'S DONE!!
    Don't that feel good...
off to bed so I can wake up and watch your new video!!
Thanks, as always for all that you do.
    ♥,
    ~Jill

  14. Jill, it's done! And, if you ever get bored or run out of things to scrapbook, you can always make another one for your daughter! :D

Hi, Stephanie! I hope you will get a lot out of the videos. I haven't started editing them yet, so I need to get cracking!
